How does the MediCare Weight Management service work?
Book an appointment with one of our weight management pharmacists at a location and time that is convenient for you. During this appointment our pharmacists will measure your height and weight and if necessary, your waist circumference and blood pressure. They will also ask you questions relating to your health and lifestyle to help them develop the most appropriate weight management plan for you.
All MediCare Weight Management appointments are face to face in private consulting rooms at your chosen MediCare pharmacy. Each appointment costs £30 independent on whether medication is supplied.

Who is suitable for weight loss medication?
Those individuals who are defined as obese (BMI 30 kg/m2) or those individuals who are defined as overweight (BMI 27 kg/m2) with another weight related condition for example high blood pressure.
